AvP:R opens While not having seen the movie myself I just thought I would make a post about the fact the movie has now opened in cinemas in the US, to replace the previous post about the sneak peek. The film has certainly gotten very mixed responses. While movie critics of course will cut it in half and run it over a few times with a tractor (after all this is more of a fanboy flick than a cinematic epic), a lot of people seem to really like it. The general consensus so far seems to be: - Great visual experience. - Both Wolf predator and Predalien seems to have gained general fan acceptance. - Poor acting, character development and general plot build-up. - Too dark, and too fast and hacked-up cuts. At the point of writing this, we don't have any reviews by our own forum members yet, but we're a small site so for more in-depth reviews and fanboy opinions, you may want to check out the AvP Galaxy forums if you haven't already.  |

First five minutes of AvP:Requiem Online! ...edited down a bit, it feels quite rushed in this clip and in the real movie I'm sure it'll be more evenly paced and built up, but still - some amazing shots of the Wolf predator leaving the predator homeworld, how the crash to earth really happened, etc.  Check it out here: http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/a/Aliens-Vs-Predator-Requiem/index-3687454.html I shouldn't have to say it but, if you're not into spoilers - better keep your eyes covered and skip this one!
